6/17/2018 0 Comments Summer '18 FavoritesHey, hey! Summer is upon us and I have some new favorite things. Check 'em out and let me know what your current favorite things are in the comments. I'm always up for suggestions on products, tunes, shows and movies! Youngblood 5 Seconds of Summer 5SOS has blessed us with new tunes for the summer (and forever really). I've been pumped for this album for months and the singles that came out before the album got me super pumped. My unashamed crush on Luke is never ending. Current favorite tracks: -Youngblood: The title track has been stuck in my head since it came out. Color me obsessed. -Lie to Me: The chorus has a catchy rhythm and while it seems a little mellow, the lyrics are stellar. -Ghost of You: ALL THE FEELS. -Empty Wallets: Another catchy rhythm, wowwow, An incredible third album. Catch me sunning on the beach with these songs on repeat all summer long. Marcelle Xtension Plus Mascara One of my favorite Birchbox goodies! I get tons of mascaras in my Birchboxes, but this is in my Top 3. It lasts long and has a great application. Not clumpy! Personally, during the summer, I don't put on a lot of makeup unless I am going somewhere, so I love that this is an easy mascara for every day use at the beach, by the pool and by the bonfire with s'mores. (A gimme-- but not sponsored.) The Kissing Booth Streaming on Netflix Okay, so I initially disregarded this as a cheesy high school flick, which don't get me wrong I love, but I have felt weird as a grad student watching high school movies. One day I just broke down & watched and lemme tell y'all, it was actually really cute and sweet and all the things. This movie had me rooting for love one minute and friendship the next. It's even cuter knowing that the two leads are TOGETHER IRL (check out their IGs for adorableness). It's the imperfect first love story that didn't necessarily have the fairytale happy ending, which as an adult I super appreciated. Reputation Stadium Tour ALL OVER THE WORLD, MAN Okay, I am so excited I could die. It has taken everything in me not to look at the set list for this tour. I'm going with one of my best friends in July and I am counting down the days. reputation surprised me with how much I liked it, especially after how long it took me to warm up to Look What You Made Me Do. This will be my third Taylor concert (Red and 1989) and I am so excited (as I've already said a few times, haha) to see what is in store this time. I have loved Taylor since Picture to Burn and Tim McGraw (fingers crossed I get one of these songs as throwbacks at the show). Her music has helped me through a lot in my life. 1989 came out my first semester of undergrad when I was still scared and anxious about being away from home. I relied a lot on that album during that time, which is probably why it's still my favorite album (as a whole). Pls don't come for me, I love her other albums, it was just the time in my life that 1989 came along that makes it my favorite. Off topic, but I am pumped. Taylor has always put on an incredible show and from the sneak peeks I have seen on Tumblr and her iG it looks so electric and massive in scale. ALSO, Camila as an opener, is incredible. Her album is wonderful and I am beyond ready to hear Havana live. Okay, I'm done obsessing... onto the next one! Schmidt's Natural Deodorant I am in love with this deodorant! I got it in one of my BirchBoxes a few months ago and I cannot get enough. Not only is it all natural, but it has such a strong scent and goes on so smooth. It's definitely helped since I have started working out again. Plus all the fun in the sun this summer will for sure make me break a sweat, so I am glad to have this in my arsenal to keep the sweat smell away. I have only tired Lavender and Sage, but it is safe to say, I'll be checking out the other scents in the near future. (A gimme-- but not sponsored.)
